Check your facts on Will Hagerup's punting. We've been discussing this on some of the UM Boards. He's punted 11 times, and only 5 have been returned (one for -14 yards). He leads the country in gross punting (48.5 yds) and his net is 44.7 (NCAA doesn't keep individual net punting stats so somebody calculated it).

Now that's the dumbest f'ing move this offseason. Seriously, Carleton had the world by the balls by coming back for another year. Just doesn't make sense whatsoever. Maybe Scott still had some ill-will towards Brey?

We should have met, Brian! I was there, also. I have to say that I was really impressed with Cierre Wood. He could be the breakaway threat that we need at running back. At one time he was a 5-star rated back before dropping to a 4-star. So, based on that, he was highly rated coming out of high school.

I am still off of the bandwagon. The players have risen. Brey had nothing to do with it. He has been forced to play Scott more because of Harangody's injury. I root for Notre Dame. But, if the Irish get into the NCAA it will be "fool's gold". Brey is never going to have Notre Dame win big. The mediocrity will only be prolonged.

I am off of the Mike Brey bandwagon. I agree with your article. Brey lowers expectations in order to save his job. Should a Notre Dame coach ever say that 9-9 is a goal? He also mentions that he is doing bwetter than we did in the 90s. Notice, he doesn't mention what happened before that? That's because we were a power. Our Lady frowned on Notre Dame the day Fr. Jenkins invited Barack Obama to give the commencement address at ND. As if that weren't bad enough, Fr. Jenkins decided to honor our esteemed president with an honorary degree. Our Lady couldn't have been pleased at the most ardent supporter of partial birth abortion at her school. Over 400,000 people signed a petition to rescind the invite, but Fr. Jenkins was firm. Someday, when Fr. What did Weis say when he rode into town? No more excuses? Well no more excuses....no more moral victories...We are ND!!!!! Weis has shown that Sunday talent can be brought to ND...now we need Saturday coaching to match. Period. If we don't win out the rest of the season I submit Weis has got to go.
